Commercial Transactions Attorney

Position Overview
We are a mid-sized firmed based in Hartford, CT, seeking a skilled Commercial Transactions Attorney to join our legal team. In this role you will provide expert legal advice on a variety of commercial transactions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations while effectively managing risks. This role requires a deep understanding of commercial law, with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate Transactions, and other corporate matters. Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and contracts
  • Conduct due diligence for mergers and acquisitions transactions
  • Advise on real estate transactions and compliance matters
  • Perform legal research to support business objectives
  • Manage regulatory affairs and ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Provide counsel on intellectual property issues
  • Facilitate dispute resolution processes as needed
  • Assess and manage risks associated with commercial transactions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align legal strategies with business goals

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of CT
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial transactions
  • Strong knowledge of mergers and acquisitions, real estate law, and corporate compliance
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex agreements
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
