Director of Sales Engineering
Location: San Jose, CA but open to remote work
Base Salary: $160-200K+ $50-65K in commission component

Position Overview
The Director of Sales Engineering will lead the sales engineering team in providing technical expertise and support to customers and the sales organization. This role is focused on enhancing the sales process through effective training, understanding market trends, and developing technical sales strategies to meet customer needs and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the sales engineering team, ensuring alignment with sales goals and objectives.
Develop and implement technical sales strategies to drive customer engagement and revenue growth.
Provide training and support to the sales team on product features, benefits, and technical solutions.
Stay updated on market trends and competitor products to effectively position our offerings.
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback and influence product development.
Create and deliver presentations and demonstrations for customers and prospects to showcase product capabilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
10+ years of experience in sales engineering or technical sales roles, with a proven track record in a leadership position.
Strong understanding of CRM systems and their application in the sales process.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and team members.
Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and develop strategic initiatives accordingly.
Experience in training and mentoring sales teams to enhance their technical knowledge and performance.
