We are a financial services company focused within all verticals of financial and investment management. Our team continues to grow and our portfolio continues to expand so we are looking to add a Director of Tax to the mixture.

Position Overview
The Director of Tax will oversee all tax-related activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. This position serves as a key advisor to senior management on tax strategies, planning, and financial implications of tax decisions, while managing a team of tax professionals to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the organizations goals and compliance requirements.
Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Lead tax audits and resolve issues with tax authorities in a professional manner.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and advise management accordingly.
Manage the tax compliance team, providing training and guidance to enhance team performance.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and financial reporting.
Provide expertise on tax planning opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in tax, with a focus on compliance and tax planning.
CPA certification required.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
Experience in public accounting is a plus.
Proven track record in managing and developing a high-performing team.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
