Position Overview:
The Estimating Manager oversees the estimation process for mechanical construction projects, leading the team, developing bid packages, and aligning with corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the team in preparing accurate estimates.
Coordinate project planning and bid package development.
Provide technical leadership throughout the estimating process.
Ensure compliance with corporate objectives and strategic initiatives.
Analyze labor, material costs, and market pricing for estimates.
Use estimating software like AutoBid Integration and SysQue for data validation.
Assess project requirements on-site for accurate estimates.
Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Make informed decisions to improve estimating processes.
Manage project deadlines and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of mechanical estimating experience.
Proven experience as an Estimating Manager or Chief Estimator.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Expertise in mechanical systems and plumbing estimating software.
Ability to analyze data and market trends for bidding strategies.
Excellent problem-solving and operational skills.
Strong relationship-building and decision-making abilities.
Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
