Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for complex projects, particularly in the HVAC, plumbing, and piping sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects including hospitals and data centers.
Review and analyze project documents such as drawings, specifications, and other relevant information to develop comprehensive estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers during the preconstruction phase to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary data for accurate estimating.
Maintain and update cost databases to ensure accuracy and competitiveness in bids.
Participate in value engineering processes to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance.
Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the construction industry, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
Strong understanding of sheet metal and mechanical systems.
Proficient in estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Experience in estimating for healthcare facilities such as hospitals and specialized facilities like data centers.
