Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Superintendent with knowledge in Heavy Civil Construction for our asphalt paving projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Heavy Civil Construction projects, including highways, roads, bridges, and FDOT projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the construction of heavy civil projects, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Monitor the progress of projects, ensuring that all safety, quality, and environmental regulations are followed.
Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Develop and maintain a project schedule, as well as plans for budgeting and purchasing necessary supplies and materials.
Create and monitor budgeting and purchasing plans to ensure that projects stay on track.
Oversee the workforce, providing guidance and instruction as needed to ensure that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to management.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction, with a focus on asphalt paving.
Knowledge of DOT and FDOT regulations and processes.
Ability to read and understand construction plans and blueprints.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
OSHA 10 certification and valid drivers license.
